Mark Chisick, President

Mark grew up in the scrap metal business as a third generation scrap metal dealer. A business graduate of the University of Manitoba, Mark launched urbanmine to create an innovative and modern approach to urbanmining. He’s a member of Winnipeg Executive Association, a former TEC member and past director of the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries.

Haderra Chisick, Chief Financial Officer

Haderra is our chief financial officer and has 35 years of experience in the industry. She volunteers for numerous charities including the CancerCare Foundation’s Guardian Angel program and the Jewish Foundation’s Women’s Endowment Fund. Haderra is a business graduate of the University of Manitoba.

Adam is a fourth generation metal recycler who brings his generation’s commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility to the table. As a business graduate from the University of Manitoba he is trained in marketing, but moves effortlessly between working with our staff in the yard to meeting with clients in their boardrooms. He is on the board of the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries – Manitoba Chapter. He is Chair of the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries.

Before joining urbanmine, Robin had over 15 years of managing offices in the metal recycling industry. She ensures our office runs smoothly and manages all our logistics so that our customers get the best service possible.

Our Facility and Yard Staff

Every year our staff grows. Since opening our doors, we’ve gone from five to 50 almost overnight. The work our staff does is difficult and requires a commitment to detail. We are proud they’ve chosen to work for urbanmine and they are part of how we are redefining metal recycling.
