Redefining Metal Recycling in Manitoba

Metal recycling is not just scrapping anymore. And we should know—our family has been doing this for almost 100 years!

We’ve been taking your steel, copper, brass and, yes, aluminum for four generations, and we’ve learned a lot. LEAN methodology is all about finding efficiencies and reducing waste. We’re passionate about LEAN workplaces, and we apply those principles here.

Did you know…
Our clean, modern facility meets the province’s highest safety standards and we provide the most environmentally friendly way to recycle your electronics

Our focus is on providing value for you, our customers, and on continuous improvement. That means we strive to make the whole process faster and easier for you.

LEAN collection equipment
Our skeleton collection cradles make it easier to separate your scrap and can be stacked four high, increasing your floor space. Our cradles are also the safest way to transport your scrap-filled skeletons.

Tote collection bins allow you to collect a large amount of scrap at your worksite–and we’ll come pick them up. Totes are safer than dumping hoppers, and can be stacked to save floor space. We’ll also show you how to separate your materials to maximize the value of your recycled scrap.

We’re scrapping for the 21st century—we’re Urbanmine!

Bring us your metal and get paid for it!
